Lunar Eclipse

Saturday, March 3, 2007

That's right. Anyone and everyone. Be sure to check out the lunar eclipse tonight! I was talking with an out of town friend, Joshua, hailing from a bit further south, and he mentioned the lunar eclipse. I, being very interested in lunacy, er... moonacy? (Just kidding.) *Eh hem* Since I'm very interested in planetary science and astronomy, this of course caught my immediate attention. (I mean, I even have a moon status widget on my Google homepage!)

I decided to look up some information about it and to put up a quick webpage with some useful information and links, should you be interested in checking some of it out.

Update: 6:23 p.m. – Okay, I'm officially sad. The sky is far too cloudy today to see anything here. :-/ If you can see it, take a photo for me.

Interesting links, articles, and graphics:

From SPACE.com:

lunar viewing times

From January 20, 2000 – CNN interview explaining lunar eclipses. (Note: Viewing times are different for this lunar eclipse, but the general information is good. Viewing time begins just before 6pm this year, East Coast of USA.)

Total Lunar Eclipse

I hope you've enjoyed checking out some of these resources! Now, get outside tonight and watch it!!

If you have any cool resources that you have come across, other than what is listed, send them along via email.
